To Be Continued...

I don`t suppose the world`s exactly waiting with bated breath, but just in case anyone`s wondering, I will be resuming work on this blog in the not too distant future.

In the meantime, there is some more crime (fiction and non-fiction) among the book reviews I`ve posted at http://bookshelvesandbrownale.blogspot.com.

Another useful skill gained through careful study and practice is book analysis. For a book critic, it is not enough to simply read a book and like it or dislike it.

  2. Well, I check back to see what you've written, anyway.

There's precious little new in the world of Sexon Blake, though I imagine you are aware but the BBC has released some old Sexton Blake serials on CD and there is set of new Zenith stories promised by Obverse Books.

  3. Many thanks for your interest, both of you.

I had hoped to get something new posted this week but events have overtaken me.

I`ll definitely get on to it on my return.

    Cheers,

    Nick

  4. As an afterthought, to read a writer`s perpective on book reviews, see When a Reviewer `Gets` A Book by Martin Edwards, posted 5 March at his crime writing blog Do You Write Under Your Own Name ? (blogspot).

    Cheers,
